The TeraFlex long-arm suspension kit takes Wrangler suspension systems to a new level. As with all TeraFlex suspension systems, this kit maximizes off-road performance while improving on-highway ride comfort.
This kit incorporates simple, streamlined bracketry which mounts between the skid plate and the frame making it possible to access the transfer case without the need to remove the suspension system.
This kit can be used in conjunction with the factory skid plate. Although the bracketry spaces the skid plate down 1/4", the factory skid plate is still
the limiting factor in terms of ground clearance and not the suspension system. The suspension can also be used with special low-profile skid plates for improved ground clearance.
Technically the bracketry could be used with a longer coil, but the kit was never intended to run anything larger than the 4" TeraFlex coils.
Taller springs increase the potential of roll overs both on and off the
trail, and they also affect a vehicles side-hill stability and performance on steep inclines. Vehicles with the long-arm suspension system installed were tested on a 30 Degree ramp and scored
as much as 100 RTI points higher than those with the standard 4" suspension system.
Note: Some 35" tire combinations may
require a body lift for optimal clearance. The TeraLow® 231SS slip yoke eliminator kit, or comparable product, is required to help eliminate driveshaft vibration.
