Still working our way down south. After about an hour of sitting on the road another trucker picked us up. He was going all the way to Homestead. Today is Thanksgiving. We were hoping to make it home by dinner, but that's not going to happen. Wow, my first Thanksgiving away from home! We ate at a buffet in a truck stop. We got to Wildwood FL at about 3 AM where my wonderful friend Carly came to pick us up. It was so nice to see her again, I hadn't seen her in like 7 months. So, my journey has come to an end. I will go back next summer and probably start at Springer and work my way up. I'm looking forward to it already. But until then I will live on the memories of all the places I've been and the people I've met, I wouldn't trade any part of it for the whole world!

FINAL THOUGHTS

;~) I'm sorry it's taken a while to get this all written. It's been rough adjusting to society once again and I've been putting a lot of stuff off. If anyone has any questions or comments please write to me. I'd love to hear from you. If you've written in the past and I didn't respond, I'm sorry, you might want to try it again. Any other hikers out there, I'll see you next summer and at Trail Days!!! Thanks for taking the time to read about my adventure, I hope it's helped to give you a perspective of what trail life is like. If your considering hiking, do it! Stop thinking about it, this is by far the best thing I have ever done in my whole life. And don't feel pressured about thru-hiking or time, I'm sure you know I wasn't. It's not worth doing unless you do it "your way" .. so take the time to do anything you want along the way.
